V-rings

Axial Seals for Protection Against Dust, Splash Water, Oils and Greases

V-rings from INNSEALS reliably protect rotating assemblies against dust, splash water, oils, greases and other contaminants. Thanks to their axial sealing function and low friction, they are suitable for many industrial applications where bearings, shafts or sealing points require additional protection.

They are used in virtually all industries – including plant and mechanical engineering, drive technology, the automotive industry, gearbox technology, rolling mills, bearing blocks and agricultural machinery. V-rings are available in NBR, FKM and EPDM. Specialty materials are available on request.

V-rings from INNSEALS

V-rings are elastic axial seals for rotary applications. They are seated on the shaft and seal axially against a counterface. This makes them particularly suitable as protective seals against dirt, moisture, splash water, dust, oils and greases.

Thanks to their simple design, low friction and versatile usability, V-rings are a proven solution for many machine and system designs. They can be used as a stand-alone seal or as additional protection for bearings, rotary shaft seals and other sealing elements.

Function of V-rings

A V-ring is made entirely of elastomer and is mounted directly on the shaft. The flexible sealing lip rests axially against a counterface, forming a reliable protective seal.

During rotation, the V-ring also acts as a deflector. Contaminants are kept away from the sealing point, while friction remains comparatively low.

Your FAQs answered

Frequently asked questions:

V-rings are elastic seals that sit on the shaft and seal axially against a counterface. They are used primarily as protective seals to keep out dirt, dust and moisture.

V-rings are particularly suitable when simple and effective sealing against external influences is required. They are ideal as a supplement to other sealing systems.

Yes, V-rings are specifically designed for rotating applications. They adapt flexibly to the movement and ensure reliable sealing.

They are easy to install, require little installation space and offer good protection against contamination. They are also cost-effective and versatile.

V-rings are considered very low-maintenance. With correct application and appropriate operating conditions they work reliably for a long time without significant maintenance effort.
