PTFE Rotary Seals

Rotary Seals with PTFE Sealing Lip for Demanding Media

PTFE rotary seals from INNSEALS are developed for rotary applications where conventional rotary shaft seals reach their performance limits. Thanks to the virtually universal chemical resistance of PTFE, they are particularly suitable for chemical, aggressive and corrosive media.

Rotary seals with a PTFE sealing lip are used, among other applications, with pharmaceutical products, coolants, synthetic oils, heat transfer oils, water and steam. They are a suitable solution when high media resistance, low friction and reliable sealing under challenging conditions are required.

PTFE rotary seals from INNSEALS

PTFE rotary seals are special rotary seals with a PTFE sealing lip. They are used when conventional rotary shaft seals are no longer sufficient due to the medium, temperature, friction or chemical exposure.

The material PTFE is highly resistant to many chemicals and is therefore suitable for demanding process media. At the same time, the PTFE sealing lip supports low-friction running behavior, which can be an important advantage in rotary applications.

Your FAQs answered

Frequently asked questions:

Yes, PTFE has very good sliding properties and can be used even with little or no lubrication. This reduces wear and increases operational reliability.

PTFE is suitable for a very wide temperature range and remains stable even at extreme temperatures. This makes it versatile and applicable in a wide variety of applications.

PTFE is nearly universally chemical-resistant and withstands many acids, alkalis and solvents. This makes it the ideal choice for demanding environments.

Careful installation is important, as PTFE is less elastic than rubber. Clean surfaces and correctly designed installation spaces are critical for optimal function.

In many applications yes, particularly with high loads or aggressive media. However, service life depends heavily on the respective operating conditions.
