Gamma Seals

Under several names such as RB axial rings, axial seals, deflector rings or flingers, gamma rings, gamma seals are used in power transmission systems and hydraulic applications. The design of a gamma seal consists of an outer metal housing embedded with an 80 durometer nitrile sealing lip. It is designed to rotate while maintaining its proper sealing function, making it suitable for both dynamic and static operations. Gamma seals function the same as V-rings in that they protect the oil seal from contamination and provide additional protection to the metal housing.
